Colour combination inspiration

As part of a cardswap group I belong to, each month we are given a technique to make a card with. This month it is a “Scrappy Strip” technique. It is such an easy way to great a really cool background with the added bonus of using all those patterned papers you are hoarding or those scraps you don’t know what to do with!

Once I made the backgrounds I then used the colours in the papers to colour images for each card. I also had matching embellishments for the papers I used.

Of course my go to images for these cards were the Danielle Donaldson range of girls from Stamping Bella.

Sneaky Explorers – 12 x 12 Scrapbooking layout

Hey everyone. This is the third and final layout for the White with 1 Cyber Crop on Facebook. This time it was a step by step challenge…and I guess that’s why it’s called a challenge because it certainly was for me.

Photo Story

These two kiddos…this is what happens when all goes quiet!!! I snuck the first photo without them knowing I was there. This was taken in 1999 and as they were still in their pyjamas they must have woken up feeling mischevious. I did have a play with the photo in Photoshop before I printed them out and made the background black and white and only had colour for the ‘escapees’ so they stood out better in the photo.

Cousin Fun – 12 x 12 Scrapbooking layout

Hey everyone. I’m back with the second of three layouts to enter into White with 1 Cyber Crop on Facebook. This time the challenge was to use a grid layout with white and blue. There were optional extras too – fill one of the grid sections with journaling or add stamping to your layout, so I added both of those.

I love these photos which were taken in 2013 at my side of the family’s Xmas get together. We pick a day other than Christmas Day that as many people can make and have a pot luck lunch…there are usually around 20 of us which makes up about half of the side of the family. These are a few of the cousins and I love seeing them still have fun playing games even though they are grown up.
