A quick blog post today as I’m trying to get this entered before the deadline for the current Inspired by Challenge – Cele-bear-ate. I wanted to use up some of my patterned paper so took this opportunity to do just that. My inspiration was simply the bear and using the stripes and lines from the inspiration bear.
Here’s another new to me card challenge – Color Hues – The card challenge. For this challenge we have to use Blue and Orange. I’ve decided to start on my Christmas card production although this could be used for birthdays too…or any celebration for that matter.
As part of a cardswap group I belong to, each month we are given a technique to make a card with. This month it is a “Scrappy Strip” technique. It is such an easy way to great a really cool background with the added bonus of using all those patterned papers you are hoarding or those scraps you don’t know what to do with!
Once I made the backgrounds I then used the colours in the papers to colour images for each card. I also had matching embellishments for the papers I used.
Of course my go to images for these cards were the Danielle Donaldson range of girls from Stamping Bella.
Hey everyone. This is the third and final layout for the White with 1 Cyber Crop on Facebook. This time it was a step by step challenge…and I guess that’s why it’s called a challenge because it certainly was for me.
Photo Story
These two kiddos…this is what happens when all goes quiet!!! I snuck the first photo without them knowing I was there. This was taken in 1999 and as they were still in their pyjamas they must have woken up feeling mischevious. I did have a play with the photo in Photoshop before I printed them out and made the background black and white and only had colour for the ‘escapees’ so they stood out better in the photo.
Hey everyone. I’m back with the second of three layouts to enter into White with 1 Cyber Crop on Facebook. This time the challenge was to use a grid layout with white and blue. There were optional extras too – fill one of the grid sections with journaling or add stamping to your layout, so I added both of those.
I love these photos which were taken in 2013 at my side of the family’s Xmas get together. We pick a day other than Christmas Day that as many people can make and have a pot luck lunch…there are usually around 20 of us which makes up about half of the side of the family. These are a few of the cousins and I love seeing them still have fun playing games even though they are grown up.
Hey everyone. I’m back with another layout to enter into White with 1 Cyber Crop on Facebook using the following Recipe:
1 photo
4 patterned papers
At least 3 flowers
Washi Tape (I don’t have many washi tapes and from the ones I do have none went with my colour scheme but I found a strip of washi tape sticker in an embellishment pack).
Hey everyone. Recently my youngest daughter finished her 4 year Bachelor of Design degree and at the end of this fourth year the students have an exhibition and this photo was taken of us from the opening night.
