MFT Sketch Challenge #395

I thought I should extend myself more by entering another challenge…this time a sketch challenge over at My Favorite Things.

I had an idea to use a tulle see through window (well not a new idea but a new technique to me!).  Because it made me think of floating I thought the My Favorite Things space themed stamp sets I have would be perfect.  I used the Out of This World set for the stars and sentiment and Space Explorer for the rest of the images.  The circle was die cut with the Dienamics Inside Out Stitched Circle die.

I stamped the stars with Delicata Silver Ink (first time using it and I LOVE IT) and heat embossed the sentiment with Zing Silver Metallic embossing powder and added a little embossing on the nose of the space ship.  A little bit of extra bling with silver confetti stars too.

Rainbow Challenge Card

My entry for the latest challenge over at AAA Cards CAS Game #120 – Somewhere Over The Rainbow.  I used two Waffle Flower Stamp Sets – Biking Girls and the sentiment from Gym Rat.

This is a fun layering stamp set and I used the following Distress Oxide inks to stamp the images in rainbow order – Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Lucky Clover, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet.  The bikes were stamped in Altenew Silver Stone and Industrial Diamond with the hair stamped in Altenew Espresso and Rocky Shore.

Float on…

My third card using Create a Smile Stamps Gull Gang.

I think the water ripple stamp is supposed to be used as the aerial view of wood but I thought I could use it as part of the seagull floating. Heat embossed with Zing embossing powder in Wave. I then ink blended Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide over the top.

I also embossed the ripples onto vellum and cut out so I could make a focal point of the seagull. Adhered it with glossy accents. The seagull was simply copic coloured. The sentiment is from Wplus9 Whole Lotta Happy and heat embossed in Hero Arts white embossing powder.

Final touches by adding white gel pen ripples, droplet embellishments and glossy accent beak on seagull… And it’s done.

I’ll be entering this into the Create a Smile Facebook page challenge ‘Summer’.

Thanks for stopping by.

Arrr… Pirate seagull

My second card using copic coloured images from Create a Smile Stamps (sentiment is from Neat and Tangled). Their new Ocean Waves cling stamp is awesome.

I heat embossed the waves in Hero Arts white embossing powder and lightly ink blended Distress Oxide Blueprint Sketch over the top. The sky was randomly ink blended in Salty Ocean.

I’ll be entering this into the Create a Smile Facebook page challenge ‘Summer’.

Thanks for stopping by.

Fries over Exercise?

Definitely Fries over Exercise for me!   Love the images in this release by Create a Smile Stamps Gull Gang.  I had the perfect sentiment from Technique Tuesday Sassy Lazy Thoughts.

Copic coloured images, patterned paper background by Die Cuts with a View and scalloped die by CraftWise.

Two more cards to come in the next few days…

Enjoy

Furry Friends

Love the latest release by Concord & 9th.  Decided to stick to using the Furry Friends stamps with matching dies for this set of cards (all except for the last card which used My Favorite Things Party die) and I hope you love what I’ve created.  I started by stamping all the images to try out some colour combinations using Altenew Crisp Dye Inks.  The layouts came together relatively quickly so the biggest decisions I had to make were which Die Cuts with a View patterned papers to use.

Tip: Added bling with crystals.

Tip: The gold foil on the paper made my decision for the embossed sentiment easy.  Using vellum between the layers help to make the deer stand out.

Tip: Adding hearts out of the same glitter paper as frame added some extra interest.

Tip:  Added diamante heart to continue the theme of marriage.

Tip: Masked off each set of colours on paper so I could stamp the wreath in co-ordinating inks.  Added Glossy Accents  to wreath for dimension.

Tip:  Added vellum to help the panda face stand out.  Added gold thread to add a bit of interest.

Hope you liked the variety.
