Playing along with my first card challenge for 2019 at CAS(E) this Sketch #302. I used Altenew Get Well Soon stamp set and my Brother Scanncut DX1200 for the name.
Firstly, I blended Distress Oxide Inks over the background (Strathmore Bristol Paper) in Wild Honey and Crushed Olive. I then stamped the three honeycomb images in the stamp set with Altenew Honey Drizzle and Warm Sunshine.
I had designed the name with my Scanncut using the draw and cut feature and coloured with copics. The flowers and bees were stamped on copic friendly cardstock with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured with the following copic colours.
Hello again. This is a custom order I created recently. Happy I managed to purchase some of the Lily of The Valley digistamps before they stopped selling them and this image was a perfect fit for the recipient – Rugby Mad. Wanted to also try the My Favorite ThingsDouble Slider Loop Slot dies for the first time and it worked perfectly.
The Mama Elephant Swinging Borders and Lots of Letters sets were the perfect size to add in the corner as was the Sun from Concord and 9th Shine On. Of course, my go to cloud stencil from My Favorite Things along with their grass stencil makes the perfect background.
I had a custom order to complete recently and this is one of the cards I made. Loved using the Mama ElephantThe Dog’s Woof and Lots of Letters stamp sets. I really wanted to try to create different looks for the dogs and had great fun trying out some copic colouring techniques. I’m not sure which is my favourite but one does look suspiciously like it has chicken pox!
This card also has an interactive element which was pretty easy to create. I used the My Favorite ThingsSurf and Turf set. The photo below shows what appears when the slider is pulled – Mama ElephantCelebration Balloons.
Fun birthday card using Gerda Steiner Bats stamp set. The images are copic coloured. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts monthly kit and I thought it suited the vampire theme.
The background is ink blended with Ranger Distress Oxide Inks on Bristol cardstock. Super easy to blend on that type of cardstock.
The silhouette bats were stamped in Versafine Clair ink in Nocturne and embossed with clear embossing powder. I realised I had stamped one of the bats upside down so added flight lines to show it flying down from the top.
I’m thrilled to be guest designing for the first time for Create a Smile Stamps. Hopefully you are all thinking about entering a card into the current September Facebook challenge “Cute Critters“.
This is such a cute stamp set called “Cart full of Treasure” and I added three extra balloons to the overall image. All the images are copic coloured and to add the woodgrain texture I overstamped the cart with the wood stamp from the Concord and 9th set Joyful Noel. The cobblestone ground was dry embossed with a Kaisercraft stencil over a RangerDistress Oxide ink blended background and a darker colour blended over the raised portion with an ink dauber.
The speech bubble outline was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with ZingWave embossing powder. I used Ranger Gold coloured embossing powder for the Happy Birthday. After fussy cutting all the images and adhering them with dimensional adhesive dots, the final details of heart embellishments were added and glossy accents applied to the balloons and noses of the koalas.
Hope you enjoyed this card, thanks for stopping by.
My third card using Create a SmileStampsGull Gang.
I think the water ripple stamp is supposed to be used as the aerial view of wood but I thought I could use it as part of the seagull floating. Heat embossed with Zing embossing powder in Wave. I then ink blended Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide over the top.
I also embossed the ripples onto vellum and cut out so I could make a focal point of the seagull. Adhered it with glossy accents. The seagull was simply copic coloured. The sentiment is from Wplus9Whole Lotta Happy and heat embossed in Hero Arts white embossing powder.
Final touches by adding white gel pen ripples, droplet embellishments and glossy accent beak on seagull… And it’s done.
I’ll be entering this into the Create a Smile Facebook page challenge ‘Summer’.
Love the latest release by Concord & 9th. Decided to stick to using the Furry Friends stamps with matching dies for this set of cards (all except for the last card which used My Favorite ThingsParty die) and I hope you love what I’ve created. I started by stamping all the images to try out some colour combinations using Altenew Crisp Dye Inks. The layouts came together relatively quickly so the biggest decisions I had to make were which Die Cuts with a View patterned papers to use.
Tip: Added bling with crystals.
Tip: The gold foil on the paper made my decision for the embossed sentiment easy. Using vellum between the layers help to make the deer stand out.
Tip: Adding hearts out of the same glitter paper as frame added some extra interest.
Tip: Added diamante heart to continue the theme of marriage.
Tip: Masked off each set of colours on paper so I could stamp the wreath in co-ordinating inks. Added Glossy Accents to wreath for dimension.
Tip: Added vellum to help the panda face stand out. Added gold thread to add a bit of interest.
I used two of the same products as Card No 1 (blog post for that card HERE) by My Favorite Things – ‘In Paris‘ stamp and die set, ‘Link Frame Oval Chains‘ die. The images are stamped with the Ripe Raspberry,Orange Zest and Gumdrop Green and coloured in corresponding colours with Prismacolor coloured pencils. The background cardstock is MFTBlue Yonder. I also applied Wink of Stella to parts of the images but doesn’t show well in photo and added a few diamantes.
