Clean and simple…entering this into the current Inspired by challenge – Bunny Roll. I was INSPIRED by the rabbits in bed. These “Whittle Rabbit” dies look like they’re asleep and I had the perfect sentiment to go along with them. Also showcasing a simple background using washi tape.

bACKGROUND

An amazingly simple background by tearing off random lengths of washi tape (I like the uneven edges) and adhering on the background.

Rabbits

These were cut out of the same cardstock as the card base. I gave them pink cheeks with a R32 copic marker and softened with 0 marker over the top.

sentiment

The sentiment is stamped on the same cardstock as the rest of the card with Versamark ink and sprinkled with copper embossing powder. After tipping off the excess powder it is heat set with a heat gun.

The sentiment strip is sized to 1/2 inch which is the width of the washi tape and I replaced one of the washi tape strips with the sentiment. This is popped up with foam tape.

finishing

The rabbits are adhered to the base with both glue dots and foam tape to give them a variety of height off the background. The layers closest to the background are adhered with glue.

The final touch was the pink and copper puffy heart which helps tie in the pink cheek element on the bunnies.
