A Pug with flowers

This is such a cute stamp set and I love the bright colours against the white of the card base. There is a new online craft supply shop that has opened recently – Loose Lemon Crafts – and they have such fabulous products to use in your crafting and embellishments I haven’t seen locally before. They are New Zealand based and only posting within NZ at this stage. I used their Neon Flowers Clay Sprinkles in this card.

Creating card

I masked off the area I wanted the background to be and ink blended Mowed Lawn (appropriate name) for the grass and Tumbled Glass for the sky. The sky was created using a stencil.
After removing the masking I applied glue to the grass area and sprinkled Flower Soft over it. I lightly pressed the flower soft into the glue to help it stick.
Whilst the glue was drying I coloured the stamped images with Copics and cut them out with my Brother Scan n Cut. Alternatively, you can fussy cut them or use the matching dies.
When the ‘grass’ was dry I used glossy accents to adhere randomly placed flowers in the grass. I love the dimension they give to the card.

Finishing touches

The sentiment was embossed onto copic coloured cardstock (to match the green used in the flowers) with Ranger Super Fine Detail white embossing powder.
All the images were adhered to the background and I added clear Wink of Stella to the heart for some sparkle.
I cut the background down and adhered to the card base to give a subtle border.
