Hey everyone. I am loving using the Cut to You cut files and adding stitching. This time I am using the Sunshine cut file.

Background

I imported the svg file into Brother CanvasWorkspace and drew lines in various lengths between the rays of the svg file. I was then able to change the lines from cutting line to piercing lines.

Hopefully you can see the dotted lines. I also change the spacing of the piercing to 5mm. This is a great feature as you can alter the spacing to suit the design and what thread thickness you are using.

Once the stitching and cutting of the actuals rays was done (I cut two of the rays to stack them) I only needed to create the embellishment cluster. The August 2019 Hip Kit Club kit had the perfect items to go along with the sunshine rays cut file. I particularly love the bird as he looks like he is basking in the sunshine. I added some sewing on my machine using thicker topstitching thread to join the tag to some patterned paper.

The last things I did was to add some Stella Wink of Glitter to the bird wing, some Glossy Accents to the beak and eye and lastly some Pearl Drops to the centre of the three flowers. Love it!
