A bit of Cute Laundry

I’m sure we all love a baby card.  The sentiments in the My Favorite ThingsWelcome Baby’ are so much fun and mix so well with the Lawn FawnLittle Bundle’ images.   I wanted something simple and clean…(pun intended 🙂 ).  I thought by having a circle framed opening it would look like a front opening washing machine.

Cute Laundry-1-5

All the images are copic coloured in neutral colours for a boy or girl.  I cut the grey frame with My Favorite Things DienamicsStitched Circle Frames‘ die 3 times and glued them together to create a raised element.  As I was originally going to make it a shaker card I adhered a piece of transparency over the back of the opening but when I put it together I felt that the images didn’t ‘shake’ well so I changed it to the images simply being adhered to the background.

To add some texture to the card I used American Crafts textured cardstock (which I have a big stack of!!)  for the frame and behind the clothes.  I also popped up the cardfront with white craft foam and layered the clothes to give some extra dimension.  I then stamped the sentiment in Altenew Crisp dye ink in ‘Lagoon’.

Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
